Eddie Watkins Motown Show
Thursday, September 19, 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm EDT
Join Eddie as he sings some of our favorite Motown songs. This will be some toe-tapping fun as he sings songs from the soundtrack of our lives!
Eddie Watkins, Jr has a Ministry of Music. He does not claim a religion such as Unity, Religious Science, Buddhism, Christian, whatever. That’s because he sees something that is really huge that connects us all, and he just doesn’t have the time to learn about religions! He has told many music students who have had trouble reading the notes that the music came before the notes. He also knows that God came before religion. He sees the different religions as lenses all pointing at the same thing.
BIOGRAPHY
Eddie Watkins Jr has always been musically gifted. He was born & raised in Detroit MI, the home of the Motown Sound. His grandmother “Big Mama” bought him a piano at age 7 and his parents forced him to take piano lessons against his will. Eddie started his music career playing piano for a bingo game at 10 years old. As it turned out his parents were right because by the age of 13 Eddie had switched to bass guitar, joined the Musicians Union and got hired by the Jonny Trafton big band performing with seasoned local Motown musicians. The rest is history. Throughout the course of his musical career, Eddie Watkins Jr has won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life; performing at a variety of venues, making public appearances, all the while recording new music.
