DESCRIPTION:Music\, Meditation\, and Magic!\nDr. Judy Blackwelder and Rev. Denise Yeargin will lead a Closing Ceremony which will include Music\, Meditation\, and Magic.  This is Dr. B and Rev. D’s secret sauce which draws those sharing time with them a space of true love\, joy and peace leading to a grateful heart. \nDuring the closing ceremony we will create magic in the room by singing together\, spending time in the silence together and sharing the gifts we have received during the week. Everyone who attends the closing will receive copies of some of Dr. Judy’s music to share with your beloved communities. \n  \nDr. Judy Blackwelder\n \nDr. Judy Blackwelder was born and grew up in rural West Tennessee where her musical roots were largely anchored in gospel\, bluegrass and blues.   Inspired by her high school band director\, she very quickly knew that working with young people engaged in music ensembles was her passion.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree\, having performed her senior recital on classical guitar\, and began a 39 year teaching career in the public schools. \nJudy’s high school band and choral ensembles excelled and Judy subsequently earned a Masters Degree and PhD in music education\, while teaching marching\, concert\, and jazz band\, music theory\, class piano\, and concert choir and show choir.  Additionally\, she served as a clinician and adjudicator for various regional events. \nJudy started attending a unity church in 1998\, where she met her life partner\, Rev. Denise Yeargin\, and their legacy of building a widely acclaimed music program in a new thought church began.   Under their direction and leadership\, Voices of Unity\, along with some renowned Nashville musicians\, produced three CD’s and were one of the featured performing groups at the 2011 International Unity Conference\, also making an appearance at the Southeast Regional Conference and at various spiritual and civic events throughout the Nashville area.  Along with Rev. Denise\, Dr. Judy is currently in service to Unity of Nashville\, providing music that supports the message each week and enhances the spiritual experience of all involved. \nDr. Judy believes that for many people\, music opens the heart as nothing else can\, and that a singing congregation raises the vibration\, engagement and consciousness of all spiritual communities.   Her original music is sung in many churches throughout the Unity movement each week. \n  \nRev. Denise Yeargin\n \nRev. Denise Yeargin began her New Thought Journey on the back pew of First Church Unity a.k.a. Unity of Nashville.  Rev. D (as her friends and congregants usually call her) says that “Unity not only saved her life\, but the teachings also made her life incredibly abundant with blessings that are too many to count.”  Therefore\, she has been committed to spreading the “Good News” for years in any way she has been able to.  Other than being the Senior Minister of Unity Center for Positive Living a.k.a Unity of Music City\, Denise worked in the community serving on many non-profit boards\, teaching leadership and assisting them in restructuring to better serve those they choose to serve.  Along the way she worked with Pastor Enoch Fuzz in creating the organization ONENASHVILLE which is still in existence today.  This organization brings together all faiths\, all races\, all peoples for the common goal of creating a city that brings us together in oneness.  Denise\, along with her Life Partner Dr. Judy Blackwelder\, began the creation of Nashville Chooses Peace – a weekend event that also drew hundreds of people from across Nashville and surrounding counties to celebrate oneness through Art\, Music\, Healing\, Spirituality and other Magic. \nA native Nashvillian\, Denise has used her time\, talents and treasures to assist many organizations to come together in the name of Peace.    Her undergraduate degree is in Music and Drama from David Lipscomb University\, after which she taught Music and Drama at Ezell Harding Christian School in Antioch\, TN.  Receiving a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Trevecca Nazarene College in 1985\, Denise taught at Trevecca assisting many to become certified to work with students in the Metro Nashville Public Schools.   She worked in the 80’s and 90’s as a Counselor/Psychologist at Tennessee School for the Blind in Donelson\, TN.   During her time there she received an EdS Degree from MTSU which focused on Behavior Development\, Testing and Analysis.  Denise has also worked for Metro Nashville Public Schools as a School Counselor and Testing Coordinator. \nDenise has been published by Unity\, Dream a World\, as well as a contributing editor for Wake Up and Live The Life You Love in Spirit.  She is presently writing a book with her life partner Judy Blackwelder entitled How Do You Get To Happy From Here?  Denise’s greatest love is teaching Universal Principles and working with individuals who are ready to birth something new.  Calling herself a Spiritual Midwife\, Denise says she is  “Assisting in the birth of THE NEW EARTH.”

Whether or not they walk through our doors\, they’re part of the sacred kaleidoscope of ministry. \nThis is not a workshop about building a youth group—it’s about building awareness\, courage\, and readiness to see the sacred where it already is. \n  \nYOUR PRESENTER\n \nRev. Miranda Koberg\, CSE serves as the Associate Minister at Unity in Greensboro and the minister for expansion ministry\, Next Generation of Unity. She graduated from Elon University with a B.A. in Religious Studies in 2017\, completed Unity’s Certified Spiritual Educator training with UWM in 2019\, and was ordained in 2024. With a history of leadership within both the Youth of Unity and Next Generation of Unity programs\, Miranda now focuses on helping Unity communities bridge marketing and generational communication gaps to grow multi-generational outreach and leadership.

SUMMARY:Path to Oneness Chanting Workshop with Rev. Christy Snow
DESCRIPTION:This workshop centers on Zikr (or Dhikr)—the Sufi chanting practice of repeating the names of God to cultivate inner peace and a sense of oneness. Rev. Christy also draws from 20 years of experience with Hindu and Buddhist chanting and blends these traditions in as well as drumming and her Native-style flute. \nJoin this experiential workshop to explore sacred sound as a path to stillness\, presence\, and inner peace. \nYour Presenter\n \nRev. Christy Snow\, an ordained Science of Mind minister\, has studied world religions and practiced interfaith work since 2005. She was initiated into the Mevlevi Sufi order—Rumi’s lineage—by Shaikhs Kabir & Camille of the Threshold Society in 2006. \nRev. Christy began her ministry in 2005 as co-pastor of the Spiritual Living Center of Charlotte where she served for 10 years. On January 1\, 2018 she founded Awaken Spiritual Community\, where she served until June 29\, 2025. In addition to her music ministry\, Rev. Christy is a sought after spiritual teacher\, coach\, speaker\, and retreat facilitator. She teaches meditation and chanting to individuals and groups: both in-person in classes and VIP retreats\, and through online platforms such as Insight Timer.

Tami Johns is an ordained interfaith and interspiritual minister\, currently serving as the Community Engagement Director at Unity of the Triangle in Raleigh\, NC. Guided by a deep calling to foster spiritual connection and unity\, she creates sacred spaces where individuals from all walks of life can come together in love\, healing\, and shared purpose. Through small group ministry\, service opportunities\, and outreach programs\, she helps deepen community bonds and spiritual growth. With nearly three decades of involvement in the Unity and New Thought movement\, Tami also draws deeply from her roots in the Baptist and African Methodist Episcopal traditions. \nBefore answering her soul’s call to full-time ministry\, Tami cultivated a distinguished 25-year career in Human Resources\, serving as a transformational leader in organizational and leadership development\, talent strategy\, diversity and inclusion\, and executive coaching. She brought heart-centered guidance to Fortune 500 companies\, leading cross-functional teams and senior leaders through initiatives rooted in authentic leadership and conscious organizational growth. Throughout her work\, Tami viewed leadership as sacred service—empowering others to evolve\, lead with purpose\, and embody compassion in every decision. \nTami holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Human Resources Development and a master’s in Administration. A veteran of the United States Army\, she brings strength\, resilience\, and service to everything she does. In her free time\, she enjoys traveling\, writing\, cooking\, and cherishing time with loved ones—including her faithful dog\, Jasper.

Our UMMAS time together this morning will be about honoring three powerful invitations that life gives us over and over again: the call to accept change\, the necessity of acknowledging loss\, and the healing that becomes possible when we allow for our feelings. Our objective is to cultivate a deeper connection within you and engage in practices that nourish the soul. \n  \nYour Presenter\n \nRev. Therese Lee has been a Unity Truth Student for 36 years\, a Prayer Chaplain for 24 years and an Ordained Unity Minister for 19 years. She serves the Unity Movement as a coach/mentor\, speaker\, teacher\, consultant on church business practices and retreat leader. \nRev. Therese is captivating\, authentic and audacious. Her personal practices of prayer\, meditation and compassionate service is dedicated to “Working with God.” \nTherese has three children and is Nana to eight grandchildren. She currently is in her ninth year of serving Unity Spiritual Center Hilton Head as their Senior Minister. As a Grief Recovery Method Specialist\, Therese guides others in transforming their lives by accepting change\, acknowledging loss and allowing for healing of feelings. \nRev. Therese’s mission is to Love Out Loud.
