SUMMARY:Afternoon Workshop with Rev. Ed Kosak
DESCRIPTION:Nobody is Right\, Nobody is Wrong\nIn these polarizing times\, the need to be right is a form of violence that we inflict on each other and ultimately back at ourselves. In this workshop we will examine our unhealthy egoic need to be right\, reasons why it is there\, and what we can do to dislodge ourselves from the need to be right. \nRev. Ed Kosak is a former high school teacher and clinical social worker. He did therapy for 16 years in various settings like drug rehabs\, private practice and neuro rehab. Ed is a lover of doing sports as opposed to watching them. He loves to swim\, cycle\, walk and does yoga daily. He loves science fiction as it expands his beliefs around spirituality. He was in the Catholic seminary for nine years with the Augustinians. \nEd found Unity in 1989 when he walked into Unity of Chicago and experienced a wonderful meditation. Walking out the door that day\, he consciously said to himself: “I’m gonna be a Unity minister someday!” He was ordained in June of 2002 and has been in Charleston ever since. \n  \nRev. Ed’s personal mission statement: Facilitating the spiritual and emotional transformation of those I serve\, and to promote unity in our diversity. \n

Since the beginning\, prayer and meditation have led him into the mystical way of life and its practical application of daily living. \n\n\n\nJim’s focus is prayer and meditation. As his title indicates Jim will share some of his interesting journey to Love. It is strange\, but his contemplative life is currently centered in love. The most important matter would be how each of us\, including ministers and teachers\, might integrate these ideas into their own journey into Silence.
